Donate Life Hollywood is part of the national Donate Life movement with a mission of seeing more accurate and inspiring storylines about organ and tissue donation on television and in film.

Donate Life is the national public education effort working to register 100 million designated donors on state registries.  The Donate Life message is simple: I am an organ and tissue donor and you can be too.  Sign up today on your state donor registry by going to donatelife.net.

 

DONATE LIFE HOLLYWOOD INSPIRE AWARDS

Annually we honor television episodes with the Donate Life Hollywood Inspire Award for episodes featuring organ donation and transplant storylines that:

 

Entertained: The writers utilized organ/tissue donation and transplantation to tell an engaging and dramatic story.

Enlightened: The episode conveyed factual information about the organ/tissue donation and transplant process and did not perpetuate common donation myths.

Inspired: Viewers were left with a positive feeling about organ/tissue donation that may motivate them to sign up as donors.

DONATE LIFE FILM FESTIVAL

Donate Life Hollywood Film Festival celebrates the entertainment industry’s accurate and inspiring organ and tissue donation storylines while showcasing real-life dramatic and entertaining stories of donation and transplantation.

 

The goals of the Film Festival are to:

  • Share the incredible real-life stories of organ and tissue donation to help inspire writers to dramatize these stories.
  • Offer writers two panel discussions to learn more about organ and tissue donation issues and storylines.
  • Build on relationships with writers, producers and network executives.
  • Bring transplant surgeons together with entertainment leaders to help encourage Hollywood to take more care with donation storylines.
